Estumar provides end-to-end Dynamic Positioning (DP) Assessment as a service—covering vessel DP assurance and DP Operator (DPO) competence checks, delivered on-site or remotely. Led by master mariners, DP auditors, and approved instructors, we translate industry guidance into clear steps that keep operations safe, compliant, and on schedule.

Scope & supervision. We review the DP control system and redundancy concept; ASOG/WSOG and CAM/TAM use; alarms, events, and PRS logs; FMEA/FMECA and proving trials records; DP capability/footprint plots; maintenance/testing routines; and change management. For DPOs, we verify taskbooks/sea time, console skills, drills, and decision-making for activity-specific operations.

Standards & alignment. Our methods align with IMO/MSC DP guidance, IMCA best practice (e.g., DP vessel design/operations and key personnel guidance), class rules (DNV, ABS, LR), and recognized competence frameworks (e.g., Nautical Institute scheme where applicable).
