Hydroacoustic Transponders

The course is based on many years of practical use of cNode and other hydroacoustic transponders and represents experience sharing for beginners and those who are willing to expand their own knowledge.

These are exactly the same transponders that we meet on the offshore vessels, equipped with Kongsberg HiPaP hydroacoustic systems.

The course covers not only practical use but also many theoretical details straight from the manufacturer's division.

The material will be useful for ETO and all Navigators/DPO working on offshore vessels.

Agenda is:

- Maintenance and preparation of MAXI/MIDI;

- Dismantling and Assembly of transponders;

- Setup & Configuration of transponders for use;

- Troubleshooting;

- cNode MiniS.

The material was filmed on operational transponders with various technical problems that can be encountered in daily routine use.

It's good when there are surveyors on the ship and when they take care of transponders. But very often everything falls on the shoulders of the Navigators/DPO or ETO. And certainly, knowledge of transponders will be handy during sea trials (FMEA, CAT, etc.)
